Straight out of the socialist-liberal playbook with a hint of Islamic crazy, Barack Obama and wife have materialized from obscurity onto the political scene. Their mantra of change says hope among those easily influenced by nothingness. Any thought of American pride and democracy is a foreign concept when a world socialist view is much more desirable to a candidate with messianic ambitions.
The one sure thing about Barack Obama is that he has a vision. The beast is growing and is in search of his moment of power and fame. His words are empty and disappear like the wind. His ideas consist of failed Marxist theories wrapped in a shiny new package. Hatred for country runs deep confirmed by the lack of pride spoken in an unguarded moment.
The initial change Obama promises will bring us one-step closer toward his idealist view of socialism. You know the system that turns everyone into slaves of government. I’m sure his meaning of hope is that the voters don’t catch on to his deception before the final vote count.

you must be an employer, by your attitude. i’m not referrring to buying products, i’m referring to selling your labor – which is highly undervalued, and hence a slave – to your job, to your boss. only iinstead of being provided meals and a bard out back, you get cheap cash. if you think your not a slave, try quitting. maybe in this sense though, you are the slave owner, which would explain your comment and frame of reference. btw, i don’t pay taxes, so i am no slave to the gov’t or anyone else.

i don’t even thihnk it’s so much about relative wage as iit is hours put in. i imagine you work a standard 40 hr week or more? try cutting that to 25 and see what your employer thinks of that; unless you’re in part of the already shrinking economy, then they might take youu up on it.
sure, ’slavery’ is a strong term for workinig a job, but i think thaat when you understand labor as a commodity and how that folds into larger economiics, then you understand it differently.

While I strongly suspect Obama has no chance to win an honest general election, it’s becoming increasingly obvious that Hillary has no chance to win the Democrat primary, and that McCain is, for some insane reason, going to be the Republican candidate for the top spot. Thus, and you should think back on how many times Hillary and John have mentioned that they are good friends and made nice-nice, and since all the talking heads are babbling about who McCain’s VP choice should be, and given that McCain will need to appeal to idiots, I mean moderates, to win, I put forth that it’s entirely possible, and even likely, that we may see a McCain-Clinton ticket representing, in the loosest possible meaning of the word, the Republican Party in the upcoming election.

First, I feel compelled to point out that your understanding of economics is, at best, limited.
Second, you should note that many people with special skills are paid on a salary basis, not hourly.
Third, in the United States, there is no law to compel you to work for anyone or purchase any product. You are free to roam the vast areas of Government owned land and live the primitive life of a hunter-gather, assuming of course that you don’t use a member of a endangered species for food or clothing.
Forth, if you want to know real slavery, rent a house from the Government which, even though we supposedly have the right to own property, will happily kick you off your land if you don’t come up with their annual protection money.
Fifth, since you don’t seem to have even a modest understanding of our Government, I will take this opportunity to inform you of an important fact which drives our economy, individual wages, employee benefits and such, the US has the second highest tax rate on businesses in the world. This means that, to compete with a business from almost anywhere else, our employers have to cut every possible expense to stay in business, which further means that the workers get shafted.
Sixth, it’s quite possible in the US for anyone to start their own business, which should be important to you since you equate working for someone else to slavery. Of course, to do so you must follow the rules as in any society that has any claim to the attribute “civilized.” Unfortunately, in America the rules are so complicated that something like 80% of all new businesses go under in the first year. While from a Darwinian, and even capitalistic, point of view this is not a bad thing, from the perspective of the common man it sucks. Between the bad debt created, which raises the cost of capital for everyone (interest rates go up,) and the loss of productivity in general, this horrible rate of business failure contributes, unnecessarily, to average prices in general, and decreases competitive pressure on established businesses, which limits their need to improve services and lower prices. From your prospective, it also makes it much more difficult to escape from “wage slavery” by working for yourself.
Seventh, speaking of wage slavery, my wife runs her own small business. She has managed to accumulate a group of employees that she values. Thus, when business is bad, they still get their salary, and we do without. When times are good, we tuck the excess away to get us through the next down cycle, and the employees get their salary. When a new Government regulation is decreed, we pay the cost of meeting the new requirements, and the employees get their salary. Keep that line of thought going as long as you can stand it. On the other hand, when the weekend rolls around, the employees go home and relax, while my wife brings home a mass of paperwork and tries to figure out how to stay in business next week. I would say that, if there’s any slavery involved, you have the roles reversed.
Eighth, unless you have no job, buy no products from a store, sell no products to a legitimate business, have no phone, only access the Internet from a public library, and such, you pay taxes. If, however, you have found a way to screw the Government, and the rest of us, I salute you!
