I also do not understand why so many Muslims do back him. He has repeatedly insulted Muslims by his many denials that for him to be associated in any way with Muslims is abhorrent. So what if he was or wasn't or is or isn't a Muslim - or an Evangelist or a Mormon. The last time I checked that was not a crime. Also the last time I checked, American troops were supposedly in Iraq to HELP Muslims. Islam is not the enemy folks - Ignorance is. It is a shame that our kids in US schools are taught to dream that one day any one of them can become president regardless of race, sex or creed, when tomorrow they will grow up and find that they have been fed a lie. He was born and grew up after the era of the 60's, which polarized the U.S. so much, so all of that is somewhat foreign to him. He is extremely smart but not an ideologue and, contrary to a lot of paranoid suspicions which have absolutely no basis in fact, he has no agenda other than to do what he thinks only he can do--heal the division in U.S. society and solve some of our glaring problems. Whether he can actually do that or not is another matter, and is open to debate. However, if once is going to claim that he has some secret sinister agenda, then there will have to be more evidence than a picture of him wearing some ethnic costume. I hope that religion per say does not find a power place in American. But there is a place for a person of integrity with a heart for all people to dwell in peace. While I understand that it's politically expedient for the Big F to ignore Obama's white heritage, I'm still at a loss to explain the acceptance of such illogical tripe by the general public. On the other hand, since my hair is really curly and, with a bit of effort, I tan up almost as dark as Barack, perhaps I should just keep quite and apply for minority tax breaks for my wife's business?
