The time has come for the 44th President to take office. There is much excitement from the walking dead about the choice of Barack Hussein Obama as the first black U.S. president. This fact is tempered by anxiety that the United States is fighting wars in Afghanistan and Iraq and faces its worst economic crisis since Jimmy Carter.
Coupled with the man-god is the resident oaf, Joe Biden. This anti-dynamic duo is set to lavish the nation with hope, change and political folly sure to make us reflect upon the Great Depression as the good old days.
It’s hard not to blow chunks watching the media portray Obama as the great savior all the while playing down our expectations. The media worked hard to get the Obamanation elected making it crystal clear they will do everything in their power to keep him afloat.
One CNN report stated that Obama’s words are so important that they will be chiseled in marble. I suppose that it would be too much to ask the media to wait until these golden nuggets actually fall from the Obamanations mouth before making this report. The sad part of this is that the people have lost another check and balance against a tyrannical government – the media.
Finally, how can we not touch on the Hollywood stars and Washington elite that will make an appearance to offer worship to the Obamanation. The fashion crowd will swoon over whatever Michelle Obama decides to parade out. It will be a spectacle ironically supported by rows of porta-potties standing at attention supplying the appropriate air to the event.
Yes, the time has come for the inauguration of the 44th President supported by the dance of the walking dead. May God have mercy on our soul.

” The sad part of this is that the people have lost another check and balance against a tyrannical government-the media.” Agreed.

Great points, LC. The media have already had to ignore so many serious things just since the election, including IRS problems that they would have screamed bloody murder over had it been a Bush nominee.

Hi LC,
Surprisingly enough, all I could think about while watching all the elite of both parties parade out for the inaugural ceremony was how much good could be done with a single precision guided cluster bomb. Oh well, maybe next time.

It sure did look cold in Washington! The things people put themselves through to see a celebrity. If only Obama could have remembered his lines it would have been boffo!
Actually it was more fun turning down the sound then inserting our own dialog and making rude noises. When Ted Kennedy made his appearance… well lets just say that I now have enough water jokes to last a lifetime.

How great was it to see Hillary Clinton looking like she could chew nails. Priceless!
