This week a black youth discovered that the new entitlement mentality drummed into his head from birth carries a higher price than expected.
Fortified with reckless notions mixed with barbaric intent, the youth reached the height of his potential by picking up a gun and breaking into someone else’s home.
His flawed and twisted mindset drove him to steal what he believed an unjust society owed him. The gun proved that he was willing to kill for it. As it turns out, he did get his due – just not what was expected.
We now know that his ill-conceived home invasion plan was doomed from the start. The one thing predators know is their rights, but they foolishly tend to forget other people also have rights. At a home on the 1500 block of Autumn Village Drive, Columbus Ohio, he ran across someone willing to protect and defend his.
One man was home and in his care was a 5-year-old child. The armed intruder entered, but met with more than he bargained. Intent on protecting the child the man leapt into action and repelled the invader by delivering a gunshot wound to the neck. Although wounded, the intruder attempted to flee the home, but collapsed on the porch. He died a short time later.
Reports state that he was an unknown black male in his 20s.
The man who fatally shot the intruder was not a resident of the home; he was staying there with relatives. One must wonder how different this could have turned out had this one variable not been introduced into the situation. As a result, a brave man stood up and swift justice was served.
There were no other injuries from the incident and no charges were filed against the man who shot the intruder.
As programmed by US society you may now wonder the race of the man that defended the home and the 5 yr old child. My answer is – does it matter?

Bad guy breaks in, family member armed, bad guy dead, family lives, end of story! What’s not to like about news with a happy ending.

Hi dana
Thanks to Obama guns sales have skyrocketed. Anyone thinking of home invasion as a career path should be aware that the chances of a gun being on the other side is very high. Get a real job and live.

My question is why was there a loaded weapon in such close proximity of a 5 year old child? The man should be charged with child endangerment.

Hi gunhater
You must be a Harvard graduate. Is that the only thing you gleaned from this story? Yes, definitely a product of the socialist indoctrination centers masked as higher education… unfortunate.

Sometimes you have no choice when confronted. We all need to be more like this gentleman. Plus, he must be congratulated for “thinning the herd”.

Hi boris
When someone invades your home with a gun then you are presented with few options. It seems the man in the story choose the right one.

Hi gunhater,
I’ve had a gun within reach for most of my life. It never caused any problems. of course, my parents taught me what I could and couldn’t play with. It sounds more reasonable to me that people who shirk their parental responsibilities should be prosecuted.
Hi LC,
I had a friend in college who thwarted a home invasion. Some twit tried to crawl through his bedroom window one night and managed to make enough noise to alert him. Being a war vet, Viet Nam, he had a .45 auto under his pillow, which he proceeded to stick in the would be robber’s mouth. He actually made him suck on the barrel, before shutting the window on him and calling the police. The cops thought it was so funny that they cleared out his outstanding parking tickets.

Hi Grit
It’s always nice to have a happy ending in these types of situations. You never expect a funny one, but in this case it’s too bad there wasn’t a video camera available to record the moment. What a nice Christmas gift to send the guy on DVD every year just to remind him of his foolish adventure and how lucky he is to be alive. Maybe next time.

First of all you are very ignorant to say that there was a happy ending. because any time someone is killed @a young age even because of their stupidity is still a very very sad thing. Of course what he was trying to do was wrong but does anyone ever wounder what their reason was? I Knew the victom and it is very sad that he was trying to provide for his family the only way he knew how.. and he has left his girlfriend and his unborn child here all alone. no one ever thinks about the victom’s family and how they are effected. I just think it to be wise to not open your mouth about something you know NOTHING about!

Hi blank name
You have an interesting way of looking at this situation. OK, your judgment is a bit clouded because you claim to know the victim, but may I ask if you knew all this turmoil was going on in his life where were YOU in his time of need?
Trying to provide for one’s family doesn’t mean going and stealing from another. It certainly doesn’t involve carrying a gun just in case you might have the urge to murder them as well.
What a sad statement that turning predator was the only way he knew how to solve his problem. It should be no secret by now that if you live by the sword you die by the sword… or in this case the gun.
