Wisdom from the Realm

The Season of the Grinch

with 2 comments

‘Tis the season where those that demand tolerance throughout the year become the voice of hate and contempt. A season where the enemies of Christ offer no room in the inn, but demand a place at the table. But be warned, if you don’t agree with their demands, you can expect to be attacked with a well honed diatribe of verbal abuse and one-sided free speech.

You may wonder how to recognize such a creature. That’s easy, it’s the one demanding rights and freedoms, while at the same time plotting to take yours away.

On your quest for wisdom you must be true to yourself. Always celebrate Christmas on your terms and don’t let the rantings of a frustrated grinch steal the joy and meaning of the season.

  1. The more I read, the more I wonder if you weren’t already a brother in Christ. You are quite articulate! Thanks for penning your thoughts for us all!

  2. Hi m

I remember writing this after watching several groups attack Christmas on a cable news channel. I have a lot of fond memories of Christmas while growing up and this rant was directed towards those that were attempting to take away our traditions. Since I was very young I knew and believed the biblical Christmas story, so perhaps your observation is true.
