Sell Me A Car Mr. Global Warming

with 4 comments

The global warming movement is in full assault mode since the release of the Al Gore movie. General Gore has equipped his troops with talking points and they are on the march. School systems across the nation are presenting his movie as fact and if you question any part they will rip into you like Tiny Tim into the Christmas pudding.

What a feeling of power environmentalist leaders like Al Gore must enjoy as they take a concept like global warming and be able to manipulate people into doing their bidding. It’s really fascinating to watch as they take a theory that can’t be proved or disproved in our lifetime and use it to build a political base of power.

Who joins the global warming army? Many enlist with no idea of what they are signing on to. They enter with the hope of getting involved with something greater than themselves. To contribute to something important and as a result it helps them to feel better about themselves. The hard core environmentalist leaders exploit this energy and soon they have a army operating on total emotion, based on good intentions.

Before long, zeal for the Cause forces them to verbally attack people that question the validity of the global warming movement. Free speech for me, but none for you. They soon escalate into telling everyone how to live their life. Guilt is employed as a weapon and is tossed toward anyone that disagrees. You will find few opportunties to just agree to disagree and move on. If you don’t live your life the way the planet police command, then you are somehow guilty of destroying the planet.

As time goes by every part of their life is consumed by the Cause. What many fail to realize is that the train to environmentalism has left the station long ago and somewhere along the way they have boarded the train to socialism.

I see you have doubts, then let me prove it. The environmentalist go after the US with a vengeance because they are perceived as a large contributor of greenhouse gases. At the same time we can’t forget that China and India are also high on the list of offenders. But for some reason, these countries are given a pass in the Kyoto Protocol on greenhouse gas emissions. Why? If the entire planet is in danger of global warming then why give any country a pass? If global warming is the real issue then environmentalist would hold China and India to the same standard as the US. Wouldn’t they? If global warming is the real issue then why do environmentalist demand that the US sign a treaty that would cripple its economy while giving China and India free rein to continue to grow their economy without restrictions?

Just because socialism has gone underground or is calling itself by a different name doesn’t mean it’s leaders aren’t trying to lure you in. It’s much like when a car salesman advertises a great deal then when you get there talks you into buying a higher price vehicle. The product environmentalist lure you in with is save the planet, but what they are really selling is socialism.

On your quest for wisdom you must understand that the world is always in constant change both in climate and on the political front. When it comes to environmentalism and global warming you should at least know what you are buying before you sign at the dotted line.

  1. I am curious as to what you think of the scientific community. It is my understanding that there is a general consensus among scientists that anthropogenic climate change is real. I’ve come to this conclusion as a result of my having followed peer reviewed scientific journals like “Nature,” “Science” and others. I can honestly say that my concerns are rooted in the scientific arena’s insights, long before I was familiar with environmental activists and political advocates for the issue. Could it be that these scientists are all socialists? You’ve questioned the “true” intentions of environmentalists and politicians in several of your posts, but haven’t really scrutinized those whose research and conclusions are used as ammunition for the “global warming army.” Where do you stand on this? I’d hate to see you leave a stone unturned, as you seek to shed light on the issue.

  2. Welcome to the Realm

I believe on the whole the scientific community can boast of honorable people simply trying to do the best they can to uncover and explain the mysteries of the earth. Yes some are socialist, but it is probably safe to say that most are not. Some present data indicating a trend towards global warming, while others present data indicating that the climate change we are experiencing is part of the natural progression of the normal earth cycle.

So instead of wasting my time with an exercise in futility, I began looking at this in a different light. Who has the most to gain from global warming? That’s when the answers began to fall into place. It became clear that global warming was really more political than environmental. I always find it quite illuminating when I look into the motivations of environmentalist leaders like Al Gore.

In most cases, people enlist in the global warming army with pure intentions. However after a short indoctrination they begin reflecting the methods and attitudes of their mentors. This is easily substantiated by the sudden and might I add distasteful need to begin telling everyone else what they should think and how they should live their lives. I believe this can be classified as socialism 101.

Hope this was helpful and maybe give you some insight to why I choose not to join the ranks of the global warming army.
