Please, Not More Republican Stupidity

with 12 comments

Some Republican politicians shouldn’t be surprised when they find themselves out of a job after the next election. How they think it’s possible to win after shunning their base voters in order to appeal to illegal aliens is beyond me. It’s no less than political suicide. Why? Because if Republican politicians act like a socialist-democrat then why support them. Make no mistake, to allow 20+ million invaders to break the law, then honor them with the grand prize of legal resident “is” grounds for dismissal.

In reality, I don’t see conservative Republican voters running down to their local voting booth and selecting anyone from the opposition party, but they will stay home. Sure, the Republican leaders are afraid of losing this new block of voters, but what good is it if they lose their base votes in the process? If the existing amnesty legislation passes then the great 2008 sit-out is more than a possibility.

The President and politicians from both sides of the aisle have formed this strange idea that the taxpayers owe illegal aliens a living just because they are here. Many of the illegal invaders are also under that impression because they have applied for victim status and are demanding and receiving entitlements. They are also demanding apologies from America for hinting that we might defend our borders on every other Thursday. Sure this is a nation of immigrants, but earlier ancestors had to fend for themselves without government (taxpayer) assistance. Now, the taxpayer is expected to pay for their every need, from arrival to grave, and receive nothing but insults for the privilege.

Why is this being allowed to happen? As far as the Democrat motive, they are trying to destroy the Republican Party. After having done so make America into their idea of a socialist utopia. As for the Republican leadership, they are merely clueless and their judgment is clouded by fear and lack of direction. They seem to have forgotten where their real power is derived and are completely missing the perfect opportunity for victory.

On your quest for wisdom you must understand that this amnesty legislation is bad for the citizens and is bad for the country. There are many today that want to hand down America as we inherited it to our children and grandchildren with the same opportunities and more. We would like to preserve the freedoms and what makes America work as a bastion of freedom. This latest socialist feel-good legislation would be just another nail in the coffin of a 230 year experiment we call freedom.

  1. You said it. Why do they pander so? They act like such suckers, as if the illegals will vote Republican just because the party caved in like cowards.

  2. “Sure, the Republican leaders are afraid of losing this new block of voters, but what good is it if they lose their base votes in the process?”

What a joke, they (Republicans) have no chance of getting this block of voters unless they become the equivalent of Democrats. Once the illegals are legitimate, the political process will begin anew and the Democrats will champion the expansion of their rights and benefits to secure their political Dynasties. This is a slippery slope that will not stop with legalization.

This will ultimately totally bankrupt the Social Security System (the largest Ponzi Scheme ever). The young people in this country today will have to finance this fiasco and it will make them the equivalent of 3rd world standard of living.

This will cause a much greater split between the haves and have nots and basically render the “middle class” to the status of the “underclass” they are the ones that better set aside their ideals and wake up to this. ………..Next Stop Lauderdale

  3. Great post! It’s amazing that people will say this is a land of immigrants so we should give them all amnesty! The immigrants that have come before have come in LEGALLY! It’s a lot of work to become a legal immigrant and it’s just a slap in the face to those who worked so hard to come into this country legally to even think of allowing all of these illegals to stay here and all of a sudden be legal! UGH!

  4. Hi Lord Crimson,
Great post. I agree with the other comments. What a shame the Republican party is allowing itself to be. Just to be fair, I haven’t checked, but I’m fairly positive that none of WY representatives voted for this amnesty crap. Let me know if you find out different.

  5. Hi Neil

You make a great point. Why would the Republicans think the illegals would vote for them in the first place? As I watch how seemingly inept they are in political matters makes me not want to vote for them either.

But for now the situation is salvageable. The opportunity still remains for them to do the right thing for the nation. If they will is another matter.

  6. Hi Steve

The Republican base are those that desire what is best for the country over what is best for the party. They hold their representatives to a higher standard because there is no substitute for excellence.

They consider freedom a greater prize than government control and vote accordingly. When Republican leaders betray this trust they soon find themselves looking for a new job.

By contrast, when a Democrat betrays the country they rise to greater heights within that party. I suppose this is one of the characteristics of socialism and how it breeds mediocrity.

  7. Hi m

What makes America successful is in danger of collapse because politicians have allowed such an overwhelming number to enter with no requirement or expectation of assimilation. Legal immigrants have contributed greatly to the success of this nation. Illegal immigrants are contributing to it’s destruction.

If we want to keep our country the borders must be protected. If not then someone will be glad to take it off our hands.

  8. Hi Tammy

Amnesty is a bad idea on so many levels. It rewards people for breaking the law and penalizes others for playing by the rules.

I guess politicians are so accustomed to not having to obey the same laws as the everyday citizen think nothing of applying selective enforcement. But when citizens see laws waved for one group that are being applied to them… well that’s how riots and civil wars begin.

  9. America has PC’d itself into oblivion. #1 law in America… never offend anyone (except Christians). This whole thing makes me sick to my stomach. In fact, I’ve finally reached my breaking point. It’s time to turn on some old Bugs Bunny cartoons and pretend life is good. Have a good one all, see ya when I calm down.

  10. Hi, LC

I have never attacked you and you can rest easy that I never will. I strongly disagree with any positions that look at the Republican Party as a viable alternative to the Dhimmicrats, however. Strongly.

I first voted in 1972. I voted for Nixon and have often haltingly voted Republican ever since—usually as the lesser of two evils. Never again, though. Never again.

Through stealth maneuvers like the “immigration” crap that’s now our salvation the Republicans have backshot me and my country for the last time.

I don’t care what happens in ’08. I will vote the Constitution Party and remain well-armed for what may come. If we as a nation can’t see the dangers of Bush’s treachery in the North American Union (the Security and Prosperity Partnership—SPP–between the US, Canada and Mexico) then we more than deserve to fall.

The SPP is exactly why Bush has not only failed to lift a finger to stop the Mexican invasion, it is why we now have Border Patrol agents serving hard time for doing their duty.

We have a vile globalist in the White House and an enemy occupation in the halls of Congress. We may well be under martial law by the time we see ’08. If that fails to happen, we have one shot left.

It’s time to work with people who stand on and for the foundations of our country and not be jerked-off by liars of a different strip yet again. Support and vote for the Constitution Party. It’s the third largest party in the nation and, with the treason that’s afoot and the dismay amongst the American People, the Constitutionalists actually stand a chance.

It’s a slight chance, but with a year and a half of the 110th Congress’ traitorous actions and a dildo like GWB in office we should be right well pissed off (and on) by the time November ’08 gets here.

My most sincere best wishes to you, Amigo.

  11. Hi YH

Whenever possible, I find it’s a good idea to avoid people that have been heavily seduced by political correctness. Although I would like to have the power they bestow upon me of being able to destroy the planet by a single action I find most borish and in need of something to do with their life.

To take their rants seriously is giving them too much power over your life. Watching a Bugs Bunny cartoon is never a waste of time and should be done often. 🙂

  12. Hi ara

I don’t consider a disagreement of ideas an attack, but a chance for knowledge. You’re always welcome.

The first rule of dealing with politicians is, “Don’t trust any of them!” It doesn’t matter what party they are representing at the moment because history proves that they can change alliances at the drop of a hat.

The second rule is, “Watch them like a hawk.” Most will sell us out in a heartbeat if it means they gain one step in their career.

The third rule is, “Politicians are like a baby’s diaper. They are quickly soiled and should be changed often.”

Bush made a critical mistake by attacking the people that have stood with him through his many indecisions. To question someone’s patriotism because they call for him to enforce the law on immigration is the height of stupidity. I have no explanation for this and my only suggestion to Bush is to say the hole is deep enough, stop digging.
