Fading Into History?
Last year, Iran boasted that it had tens of thousands of operatives already inside the US with orders to begin attacking the US infrastructure the moment Iran comes under western attack. A bold statement for sure, but just how realistic is this threat? If we are to take Iran seriously then we must discover if they have the means to pull off such a taunt.
For some time now we have been watching Iran and Venezuela huddling together like a high school football team on Friday night. They aren’t exactly natural allies so we must ask what mutual goal would bring these two together. Their shared hatred for the US seems a good place to start.
In February, Iran Air opened an office at the Caracas headquarters of Conviasa which is Venezuela’s state airline. The objective to supply a direct flight that goes from Tehran to Damascus then nonstop to Caracas is now a reality. But what exactly does this mean? The most obvious benefit is now there is a direct service for middle eastern terrorist to enter the western hemisphere. This one move will allow them to bypass all normal airline travel security measures presently in place.
Chavez has opened up a terrorist front from the South where Islamic terror groups are now active in Latin America. On arrival from the middle east, Venezuelan officials greet them ready to issue Venezuelan identity papers. Thousands of passports and other types of identity papers have already been distributed. This can be confirmed because illegal immigrants of middle eastern origin entering the US have been discovered carrying Venezuelan passports and other such identity papers.
We know that middle eastern terrorist are being delivered to Venezuela from Iran and Syria. They are creating an underground group of terrorist cells in order to infiltrate across the US southern borders. But that’s just part of it. They are also suspected of transferring biological and chemical weapons (WMD’s) from the middle east to the western hemisphere for the use in mass attacks in the US. As an added bonus, Chavez has publicly announced that he is willing to allow Venezuelans to shed their blood as part of these attacks.
Ahmadinejad and Chavez are reminiscent of all the blood-thirsty dictators throughout history that were also willing to shed the blood of the masses if for no other reason than to bring themselves glory.
So, where does this leave the US? We know the players, we know the objective, we know much of the plan. Knowing this, how important do you think securing the borders are? The US is saddled with leaders that display the trait of one dimensional thinking in that getting votes in order to remain in power is all there is. They don’t seem to understand there won’t be any voters if politicians don’t aggressively take border security seriously, and then some.
Ahmadinejad has a plan, and he is implementing it whether we see fit to believe it or not. The Islamic storm is upon us with wind swirling all around. There is thunder and lightning on the horizon that is headed our way. But still it goes unchecked because of the veil of denial that covers Washington. It’s yet to be determined if Ahmadinejad and Chavez will succeed, but it appears they are destined to try.
