Hezbollah on the Move

with 4 comments

In an earlier post “Syria is Preparing for War” I wrote that Syria was in the midst of moving military equipment into position for an attack against Israel.

This week Hezbollah leader Sheik Hassan Nasrallah said his group possesses an arsenal of 33,000 rockets, some of which can reach all of Israel, including Tel Aviv.

“We could absolutely reach any corner and any point in occupied Palestine (Israel).”

The Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Mark Regev said, “The international community must hold accountable those governments, namely Syria and Iran, who by supplying weapons to Hezbollah are deliberately trying to undermine the United Nations, the Lebanese government and peace and stability in the region.”

The one mistake Israel could not afford has been allowed to happen. The present liberal Israeli leadership did not plan or allow for victory during last years war against Hezbollah. Now it has come back to haunt them. A lesson that many in the rest of world could learn from.

The question remains, is Israel going to sit back and wait for these rockets to begin raining down on their population or will they view recent actions as enough provocation to attack first?

  1. Hi LC,

After last night’s Democrat debate, the Arabs will probably back down. Hillary promised to start diplomatic talks with Iran and Syria if elected, and Obama basically promised to hand Iraq over to those same two nations. Thus, the wise thing would be to wait for the US troops to withdraw, take Iraq, and then have their way with Israel. Of course, wisdom and Arab doesn’t go together too often.

  2. Hi Grit

It was like a game show where the one that answered the most questions wrong was the winner.

Hillary is obviously a student of Neville Chamberlain and Obama falls into the land for peace crowd. The rest… why bother?

    Wisdom and Arab… 🙂

  4. Hi Tammi

Don’t worry it was just a waste of time. In fact, the more I think about it the more I realize it was time I should have used for anything else.
