Will the Real Obama Please Stand Up.

Who is the real Barack Hussein Obama? Is he a stealth candidate for Islam or just a person that attends a black separatist church? Or, does he attend a black separatist church just for show because he is a stealth candidate for Islam?

The news media doesn’t have a problem reaming Mitt Romney about Mormonism and Mike Huckabee about his background as a preacher. However, they go to great extremes not to ask Barack Obama about his religious views.

Obama attends the Trinity United Church of Christ, which turns out to have a separatist view on life. This is not a problem per se, unless of course one of the members happens to be running for president.

“We are a congregation which is Unashamedly Black and Unapologetically Christian… Our roots in the Black religious experience and tradition are deep, lasting and permanent. We are an African people, and remain “true to our native land,” the mother continent, the cradle of civilization. God has superintended our pilgrimage through the days of slavery, the days of segregation, and the long night of racism. It is God who gives us the strength and courage to continuously address injustice as a people, and as a congregation. We constantly affirm our trust in God through cultural expression of a Black worship service and ministries which address the Black Community.”

If we replace the word white everywhere the word black is used then suddenly this group would be labeled a racist organization. So, for the sake of consistency we must conclude from this that Obama is part of a racist organization.

Where does this leave the voters? Our choices are Obama, the stealth candidate for Islam, Obama, the man mixed up with a group of racist, or Obama, the man with nothing to hide.

Why do the news media refuse to ask the necessary questions that might clear this up? Do they already know the answer and refuse to publish knowing the answer would destroy his candidacy?

Someday a black candidate will come along that is right for the job and whose loyalties are not in question. They will be someone we can all be proud to call Commander and Chief. Until that day, why ruin their chances with an unknown like Barack Obama?

  1. Tell me you’re joking. “Someday a black candidate will come along that is right for the job and whose loyalties are not in question.” His loyalties are in question because he is “unashamedly Black”? Sir, you confuse racism and self-esteem. Would being a self-loather make him more patriotic in your eyes?

Oh no, you call his patriotism called into question because you theorize that he must be “a stealth candidate for Islam,” who, as it just so happens, is also “unapologetically Christian.” First, you say he is racist because he belongs to a Black church, and now he doesn’t really belong to this Black church but is only posing as a member? Are you listening to yourself?

Upon what basis do you claim that Obama is Muslim? Is it because of his name? His name isn’t Muslim. It is Arabic. To imply that Obama is Muslim because of his name is the same as concluding that someone with a German sir name must also be a Nazi. (Watch out for that Hasselhoff fellow!) Understand the difference between language and ideology.

It is fine if you don’t want to vote for the man. You don’t have to. I only ask that if you don’t support him, you don’t support him because of something he has done or something he proposes to do. Don’t bash him because he doesn’t hate the skin he’s in or because he has inherited his name from his African father. The baseless slander in your post was just unnecessary.

  2. Hi AbbyNormal

    Nice rant.

His loyalties are in question because we know very little about him, leaving only speculation. In your attempt to defend him you added nothing new much less anything that would persuade me to look at him differently. Could this be because “you” know very little about him? Why is that?

“Sir, you confuse racism and self-esteem. Would being a self-loather make him more patriotic in your eyes?”
Why is it that if you’re black, it’s self-esteem and if you’re white, it’s racism? Until everyone is painted with the same brush there will never be any hint of equality. This is not to brush away the differences between the races but to make sure everyone is at least viewed with equal balance.

You are defending him “because” of the color of his skin and his name, not because of his ideas. Not surprising as you probably can’t. I hope you can prove me wrong on this point because I would like just one person to give me substantive reasons why he would be a good president.

If it walks like a racist organization and quacks like a racist organization, well … it must be a racist organization.

I’m still waiting to hear someone come up with any reason this guy could possibly qualify to be the POTUS too. Really, the only thing I know that this guy has done is to vote against banning infanticide, aka partial birth abortion.

Hang on to your hat LC, I think we may be in for a bumpy ride.

  4. Hi Tammi

Every “idea” Obama has put forward is straight out of the Marxist handbook. In his speeches, he sounds so caring until you realize you’re being had.

Anyone can promise universal health care and be touted a great and caring leader. The problem is how can such a massive government program be sustained? Figures on such a program are massive and anyone familiar with how the government guesses at program costs knows the figures should always be multiplied by 10.

I once thought people would wake up to what is happening, but I see no indication. My hat is secure, but I’m not looking forward to the bumpy ride.

  5. Hi, LC!

Astounding that people would accept such evasiveness. When he is asked a question, even a less-than-politically-astute individual like me can hear. . . “nothingness”.

I also thought people would wake up, especially when Ted Kennedy endorsed him.

When women being interviewed say they can’t decide if they are “more black” or “more woman”, I know the dumbing-down has taken full effect. I am still shocked that they didn’t think it sounded stupid. Out of at least a half-dozen, not one word about ‘American’ or ‘policies’.

Universal Health Care. Can you smell fraud? I know two brothers who get checks for being alcoholics. I’m admittedly ambivalent as to how much responsibility ‘the state’ has in that but, when the $2400.00 is gone, they panhandle. ( I live in a small community, and everyone enables, I mean, looks out for them). I know a woman who gets close to $900.00 a month b/c she has an anger management problem. She proved it by walking out on three jobs consecutively. Iow, we have programs; you just have to know how to (ab)use them! Imagine major health/disability issues, especially since our ‘fearless leaders’ insist on inviting everyone over for a free ride.

When people equate listening to Obama speak with hearing Jesus, my heart breaks at such a lack of discernment.

Call me crazy, but these are “perilous times”. I’m with you on this one, LC!! At least if we get the Clinton clan, we kinda know what to expect!

Great blog and I enjoy your conversational tone!

  6. Hi wordforit

You make a great point, and as Winston Churchill once said, “The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter.”

The comparison of Jesus and Obama is a heartbreaker for sure, but understandable given the times. The news media loves to seek out those types for controversy and ratings. At that point I realize their lack of understanding so what else is to be said.

  7. everyone seems to want to talk of obama being black, never mind his mother is white . . . so is this a blood quantum argument or what? one caan equally say he is white as he is black, so let’s be accurate and atleast be mindful of obama’s truth, he is bi-racial.

  8. Hi riverbird

Obama’s race does seem to be a bit of a novelty. I guess at this point that’s all anyone really has to work with since he speaks in mostly platitudes. I would like to say that he must eventually offer a little substance, but maybe not given the average voter.
