Maxine Waters wants to Socialize Big Oil

with 8 comments

Maxine Waters

One basic constant of California politics is that the dishonorable Maxine Waters is always good for a laugh. The downside of her comic stupidity is that it’s usually at the people’s expense. Maxine does however have a useful quality found in the depth of her arrogance. She doesn’t mind parroting the not-so-secret intentions of the Democrat Party.

I for one have never known the government to do anything as well as the private sector, but Maxine and her merry band of thieves have their sights set on trying. Soon after they get their tentacles into the oil industry… well let me just say that it will be time to dust off your old bicycle. Under total government control, gas will be virtually unavailable for less than 20 bucks a gallon.

I guess it just goes to show that some people gravitate toward politics only because snooty is all they can do… like Maxine.

  1. Hey, at least she admitted what they all want.

    Scary.

  2. Hi Neil

It looked as if while caught up in her own self-importance she let it slip more than admitting it. Still, the results are the same. What made it so priceless is that the people beside her were laughing at her while she was enjoying her take over the world moment.

  3. Hi LC,

I was thinking about this the other day. Consider, if you will, the results of continued Democrat control of Congress with President Obama/Clinton in charge of the Executive Branch. Even with a Republican in the Oval Office, the Democrats have managed to almost double the price of gasoline since they took office, with an accompanying inflationary increase in price of almost everything else. Four years of unchecked liberalism, will, in the best case I’ve imagined, lead to Civil War II. And people wonder why liberals are against private ownership of firearms 🙂

  4. Hi Grit

How very astute of you to place blame squarely on the shoulders of the culprits which is the Reid/Pelosi regime. Their destructive influence already rippling across the country is proof that an unchecked four years will be the end.

I’ve wondered about the words of the great prophet, Charlie Daniels when he proclaimed, “The South’s Gonna Do It Again.” Perhaps his words are about to come true and this time succession will be achieved without firing a shot.

Seriously though, if the Yankees don’t think anymore of their country than to destroy it from within, then why should the South?

  5. Hi LC,

Beat me once, shame on you, beat me twice, shame on me. Why do you think the majority of nuclear weapons are based in the South and that an exceptionally high proportion of our military forces are Southerners? Also consider that, if push comes to shove, the Southern States control a very large share of US oil and coal production. We also have a significant share of munitions manufacturing located down here. Thus, Civil War II, if it happens, should have a much different outcome than the original.

It’s also interesting to note that, even if there’s no revolution, the urban areas will be hit much worse by any economic troubles than the rural sections of the country. Considering that the liberal base of support resides in the same urban areas, one has to question the sanity of their leaders. Really, at times it seems like they’re working on some huge suicide pact.

  6. Hi Grit

The first one was a real mess so I expect in order to avoid a repeat Washington could be persuaded into negotiations. After choosing sides, a declaration of succession could be delivered to President Obama, who would readily accept it. Then the northern states can live that liberal-socialist-Islamic dream without all those uptight southerners getting in the way.

The greatest problem is keeping the Yankees from re-invading after their dream turns into a nightmare. But as you point out the South is in a much better position this time around.

  7. if the democrats get their wish to control/socialize oil companies, the price controls will create shortages. price controls make perfect sense to people who know little about economics. medicaid and public school systems should be obvious of such government-run programs.
