The Waxman–Markey Climate Change Bill

with 11 comments

waxman_markeyThe Waxman-Markey 1300 page + amendments energy tax bill passed the House (219-214) thanks to traitorous Republican and Democrat representatives. This massive bill was only made available a day before the vote so we have another unread bill passed by the House. Now only the Senate can stop this criminal legislation.

Built upon a structure of lies, the passing of this bill by the Senate will force higher energy prices on everyone. You may ask what possible purpose would this serve? What other reason could there be – to save the planet of course. Oh, and in case you didn’t get the memo – saving the planet it just a code phase for government servitude.

The Heritage Foundation’s Center for Data Analysis found this bill would reduce aggregate gross domestic product (GDP) by $7.4 trillion by 2035 and destroy 844,000 jobs annually. The so-called benefit is that the planet will experience 0.044ºC lower global temperatures. It would certainly appear that a little skulduggery is at play in Washington.

The Cap and Trade Climate Change Bill is only the beginning. It is meant to be a gateway bill for further regulation on every part of your life and mine. In other words, it is an excuse for central planning and central control by the government.

Obama and his minions have every intention of setting up a system that allows government to not only control, but also rule your life from cradle to grave.

Here is a list of the Republican Traitors who if there is any voter spine remaining will find themselves unemployed after the next election.

List of Republican Traitors

Mary Bono Mack (CA-45) (202) 225-5330 @marybonomack
Michael Castle (DE-00) (202) 225-4165 @repmikecastle

Christopher Smith (NJ-04) (202) 225-3765

I suggest that if any of these traitorous rats reside in your sphere of voting please eliminate your particular rodent from public office.

  1. The author of the bill, Edward Markey has around 100K invested in the Firsthand Technology Value Fund which invests in solar, wind and other clean energy technologies.

    A definite conflict of interest.

    • I hear Nancy Pelosi is also invested heavily in green technologies. The way the vote went it seems quite a few representatives are looking after their personal investments. These people are shameless.

      • These people truly are shameless. I honestly don’t know how they sleep at night. They must have no conscience at all.

How can they say that we won’t have to bear any of the cost? I think they are all on crack!

I wish the people of our country would stop voting these monkeys into office. Get a clue. They always Tax and Spend!

  2. Obama claimed that the average American would not bear the brunt of this historic tax-increase: he stated that instead ““It is paid for by the polluters who currently emit dangerous carbon emissions.”

Just compare this outrageous falsehood to Ronald Reagans’ famous quote:

“The most dangerous myth is the demagoguery that business can be made to pay a larger share, thus relieving the individual. Politicians preaching this are either deliberately dishonest, or economically illiterate, and either one should scare us.

Business doesn’t pay taxes, and who better than business to make this message known? Only people pay taxes, and people pay as consumers every tax that is assessed against a business.”

And after the way the rammed this through the House with little debate, without legislators even reading it… and while quarantining the GOP from any meaningful input whatsoever, any foolhardy individuals who still believe Obama’s threadbare “bipartisanship” spiel ought to have their head examined.

    • There is no excuse for representatives to vote on a bill never read. Anything could be hidden in there and yet this fact doesn’t seem to bother any that signed.

The only reason Obama would want bipartisanship is to give cover to the democrats. Other than that I doubt he cares.

  3. Hi LC,

What really puzzles me is why Waxman would care about Global Warming? Just look at him. It’s obvious he’s some sort of burrowing creature that leads a mostly subterranean life where, regardless of what the weather is doing up here, the temperature is constant. Beyond the question of what district has enough of a mole vote to put him into office, one has to wonder why he isn’t more interested in digging for roots instead of trying to write laws? I’m thinking that we could have nipped this mutant mole-man incident in the bud if we hadn’t banned DDT.

    • Hi Grit

Waxman does look like a mole! We need the Caddyshack groundskeeper to take a shot at him. Although he didn’t have much luck with a gopher I figure he’s due. Besides, Waxman is slower and more deserving of slaughter.

  4. Hi LC,

I’d just like to know where he got all that C-4! A modest supply of that might come in handy. You know, for fishing and removing tree stumps.

    • Yeah! It’s not like you can buy C-4 at your local 7-11… or maybe you can if it’s the right one.

  5. Hi LC,

I’m thinking that Tractor Supply Co. may carry it. I’ll check when I go shopping tomorrow.
