Al Franken Crowned Minnesota Senator

with 3 comments

AlFrankenThe Minnesota Supreme Court today decided that Al Franken, a Democrat, won the highest number of votes in last year’s U.S. Senate race and deserves a signed election certificate.

The court’s decision brings to an end the seven-month state fight over the Minnesota Senate race. Franken has had a lead since January and a trial court decided in April that he won the highest number of legally cast votes.

Republican Norm Coleman conceded the race to Franken today and said he will abide by the result of the Supreme Court.

Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty said he would sign the certificate today.

Perhaps a dead man’s party is in order just to thank the 2812 dead voters that made the Franken victory possible.

Yep, it’s a miracle and definitely above and beyond the call of civic duty.

  1. Franken will fit in great with the Obama Doctrine.

We have to destroy the nation, in order to save it.

  2. Since the dims now own a filibuster proof majority with 60 any damage created belongs to them. For some reason that doesn’t make me feel better.

  3. I seem to remember that Norm Coleman was ahead until the recount. This is just typical “keep counting till the Democrat wins” stuff.
